14th ANNUAL POETRY CONTEST

Sponsored by the Arnold Branch

Submissions: January 3 - February 29, 2012

CONTEST INFORMATION & RULES

• Poems can be on any topic, but should be acceptable for public display.

• Poems should be at least 3 lines long, but no longer than one typed page.

• Poems must be original, unpublished works of art.

• Poems must be typed on white paper without your name on it.

• A completed entry form must be turned in with each submission:

• Winners will be decided by a group of judges to be selected by the librarians of the JCL-Arnold Branch.

• Three winners will be selected from each category:
  5-11 years
  12-18 years
  19 years & older
  Winners will be notified by phone.

• Entries must be turned into the Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library by 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2012.

• Poems will be displayed at the Arnold Branch through March 31, 2012.

• All participants of the 14th Annual Poetry Contest are invited to share their poems at the Awards Ceremony and Poetry Reading on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arnold Branch.
