TEACHER SERVICES

Educational Library Cards

Library cards are available for educators at private, pariochial, and public schools (K-12) within the boundaries of the Fox, Northwest, and Windsor school districts.  Educators simply need to apply for a library card at one of JCL's three branches and supply proof of employment.

Day Cares are also eligible for library cards with the Jefferson County Library as long as they are located within the JCL service area.  Day care owners will need to apply for a library card and supply a list of employees designated to use the library card on business letterhead.

Tours

Are you interested in your students visiting the public library?  Schedule a tour of the Jefferson County Library for you and your students.  Tours include a walk-through of the library, instruction on the use of the online card catalog, and assistance with special projects.  Tours can be scheduled for individual classes by contacting the branches of JCL.

Assignment Alert

In the continuing efforts to help teachers and their students, the Jefferson County Library has initiated the Assignment Alert program.  Assignment Alert books are on a restricted checkout so that the largest number of students has access to the materials for their assignments.  To notify the library of an upcoming assignment, please fill out the Assignment Alert form.
